Pivotal Construction Recruitment are currently working with an award-winning construction contractor based out of Derby. They are looking for a Quantity Surveyor and Senior Quantity Surveyor based in or around Derby, on a permanent basis, starting as soon as possible.
The ideal candidate will be experienced in Quantity Surveying across the residential and commercial construction sector. The job will involve working alongside the Commercial Team being responsible for the delivery of a professional and high-quality QS/Estimating service for tender enquiries and construction contracts.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Ensure robust, accurate and timely cost and value reporting at both project and business unit level.
- Ensure accurate cash flow reporting takes place.
- Carry out cost management including forecasting.
- Attend meetings with clients both pre and post award.
- Update the monthly CVR/WIP, cost and commercial plans and have accountability, along with the project team for the commercial performance and strategy.
- Maintain deadlines in line with monthly commercial calendar.
- Ensure that commercial processes/procedures are adhered to across the business unit.
- Actively seek to improve processes and procedures.
- Complete the negotiation, completion and administration of all JCT/NEC and bespoke forms of sub-contract.
Salary & Benefits
- The salary for this position ranges from £50,000 – £70,000 (depending on experience)
