Renewable Maintenance Engineer – Southwest – Permanent

Pivotal construction recruitment is working alongside a rapidly growing Mechanical Engineering contractor based in Bristol. They are seeking a skilled operative to join their team as a Renewable maintenance Engineer.

Job overview

  • Permanent full-time job requiring 42.5 hours per week of work (plus overtime)
  • To handle all repairs, servicing, and breakdowns for various ASHP, GSHP, and solar PV/thermal systems.
  • Communicate with the help desk about work requests.
  • In charge of providing emergency services to various properties.

Working in a customer-focused workplace where quality and service are key, ensuring that every activity is carried out to the highest standard of workmanship and safety, being available for occasional weekend work, and collaborating with FM, projects, planned, and reactive maintenance teams

Skills required:

Low temperature hot water systems, manufacturer training for Daikin, Mitsubishi, LG, Baxi, and other systems, LCL L.3 Installation and Maintenance of Air Source Heat Pumps, F-Gas requirements, water regulations, 18th edition electrical training, RAMS & PTW working knowledge and expertise.

  • Ability to follow manufacturer’s instructions
  • Experience in a variety of maintenance roles
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Knowledge of health and safety
  • Work experience in social housing
  • Work experience with a mobile workforce
  • Experience interacting with clients and suppliers
  • Team player who is proactive and passionate and has excellent communication abilities


On offer in exchange: Excellent overtime rates of time and a half and double time; Salary variable based on experience, but in the range of £40-£45K; 28 days of vacation time, assistance with maintaining and acquiring new tools, paid travel to the job site in a fully expensed business van, a company tablet or phone, or compensated costs for using a personal device
